Springboard - Re-Registration Process for 1st Year DT265A Students

This email is for Higher Diploma students who started in September 2017.

The HEA have now opened the springboard courses website for you to confirm your re-registration for the programme. You need to confirm this re-registration so that the HEA will pay your fees again for this semester. Confirming this registration is a condition of the programme; and failure to do so will leave you liable for your own fees.

To confirm re-registration, you simply need to log in to the springboard courses website and click the re-registration /second registration button.

Closing date for this will be this week, but please do it now. It only takes a minute or two and will save you an awful lot of grief should you forget.

Class reps or anyone feeling useful, as this information is important, I would appreciate it if you also posted this on any Facebook or WhatsApp groups etc.

Thanks for your time.

Robert

Systems Analysis and Testing Tonight

The DIT will be closing at mid-day today so there will be no class this evening. We had scheduled next week as dedicated to CA Phase I, so we will switch the order and allocate this week to CA work.
I’ll be available online to help this evening (as long as the broadband keeps working). Check the webcourses module later for details of how to get in touch.

DT265A Year 2 venue update

Hi folks,
Please note that the DT265a Stage 2 timetable has been updated and that modules for Data Analytics and Programming for Mobile and Smart Devices will now be delivered in a Bolton Street location.

Please see the updated version of the timetable attached to this email .

Please also note that as with previous years, the Data Analytics module is delivered intensively over 8-9 weeks with 6 hours per week. However since this is the first year that the content is being delivered to part-time students, the delivery will be split between a standard 3 hours of lectures and 3 hours of blended learning delivery. This should allow students to focus on content and also avail of online support from the teaching staff for the module. More detail on this will be presented at the first DA lecture which will take place on Wednesday evening in room 392 in Bolton Street.

Small adjustments to the timetable may yet come through. Please keep an eye on your email and the DT265 blog for details.
