DT265A Second Year - Update Re Requests for Confirming Registration

Hi folks,
This is for students in the second year of the part-time Higher Diploma, i.e., for people who started in September 2016. In the Programme Committee meeting yesterday, some of your class reps noted that they have received requests to confirm their funding through ICT Skills Springboard, but they have no way of doing so.

Coincidentally, we also received an email yesterday from the HEA that acknowledges that the are currently working to update the springboard website to allow students in second year of the part-time Higher Diploma to confirm their registration for second year. This however is not implemented yet. The funders have specifically asked that students not be required to verify their funding yet, but it will take a while for this message to DIT and others to work through the system.

I will contact Admissions and Fees to make sure they understand about the situation, so don't panic if you are receiving requests for fees or something along those lines.

Best

Robert

DT265A Higher Diploma Part Time - First Registration Requirement

This email is for all active Higher Diploma students.

To the full-time students who started in January, please note that if you haven't done so already, you need to *urgently* log on to the springboard courses website to confirm your continued registration on the programme, i.e., re-registration. Most students have done this; thank you. 3 students are left to do this.

To the part-time Higher Diploma students who started last month, the HEA have now opened the springboard courses website for you to confirm your first registration for the programme. You need to confirm this registration so that the HEA will pay your fees. Confirming this registration is a condition of the programme; and failure to do so will leave you liable for your own fees.

To confirm registration, you simply need to log in to the springboard courses website and click the registration button.

Closing date for this will be the 27th of October, but please do it now. It only takes a minute or two and will save you an awful lot of grief should you forget.

Class reps, as it information is important, I would appreciate it if you also posted this on any Facebook or WhatsApp groups etc.

DT8265 Re-Registration Now Open - Important for Feb Students

Hi folks,

Summary: This reminder is for students on the DT8265 programme who started with us in January. You need to confirm that you are still enrolled on the programme via the springboard website. This is an important status check that you need to make before October 22nd. If you are having any difficulty doing this, please contact me.

Detail: This is for the attention of *all* students who are funded through ICT Skills / Springboard and began with us in January 2017.

You are all asked to please log in to the Springboard website and confirm your status as being re-registered on your programme. This is to be done by October 22nd.

The process should take no longer than 5 minutes. The terminology below makes reference to Springboard students, but please note that the same instructions apply to students such as DT8265 students who are applied for through the ICT Skills programme.

The process is as follows:

  1. Students who began in the Spring and who are still in progress should log in to www.springboardcourses.ie using their email address and password [both required].
  1. The participant will see all courses to which s/he has applied in 2016/2017. Beside the course they are currently registered on, they see an orange button/link marked “Re-register” or 'register' or similar.
  1. On clicking on this register button/link, they will be asked to confirm that they remain enrolled on this course.
  1. If the student is still enrolled on and intends to complete her/his course, s/he must click ‘OK’ to confirm this intent. This completes the reregistration process and the AMS database is updated. The screen will refresh and their registration status will be changed to “Confirmed”.
  1.     Each participant should click on their email address which is displayed towards the top right hand side of the screen and select “Applications” from the resulting drop-down menu.

If a participant does not initially register or re-register throughwww.springboardcourses.ie, no further funding is paid on their behalf by the HEA.

Please note that this is very important and should be prioritised by all students. Please ensure that this is done by October 22nd.

Thanks

Robert
